Val Saint Lambert:
The Val Saint Lambert crystal factory was founded in 1826 in Seraing (near Liège, Belgium), on the site of a former Cistercian abbey.
The factory quickly grew into the center of Belgian crystal production.
Thanks to the high quality of the lead crystal and the craftsmanship of the glassblowers, Val Saint Lambert gained international renown.
In the second half of the 19th century, the company reached its peak, employing thousands of workers and exporting worldwide, including to Russia and the United States.
The factory became particularly famous for its richly cut and colored crystal, and played an important role in styles such as Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
This year, the factory celebrates its 200th anniversary!
