Berger is a French pastis brand that originated in Marseille in the 1930s and became one of the most famous aniseed drinks in the South of France.
It was known for its dry, less sweet flavor and became popular thanks to eye-catching café advertisements and posters.
In the second half of the 20th century, Berger was incorporated into the Pernod Ricard portfolio, where it continues to exist as a classic, though less prominent, pastis brand.
