Vallauris is considered the ceramics capital
of France, partly due to the residence and work of
Picasso in this town in the fifties. Theceramics
production, however, goes back much further,
until Gallo-Roman times. Vallauris ceramics
recognizable by the quirky, hip designs of the
artists and the high quality of it, on high
temperatures fired pottery.
